COMPANY OVERVIEW
"The Vegetable Vitamin Foods Company", now known as VVF Ltd, was founded in 1939 by Godrej Pallonji Joshi in Mumbai.
In its early years, VVF Ltd became the first manufacturer of Vegetable Ghee, commonly known as Vanaspati, in India.
Over the years, VVF Ltd, headquartered in India, has continued to grow rapidly, evolving from a small industry into a leader in Oleochemicals and Personal Care products in India. The company is also one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of fatty acid, fatty alcohol, and glycerin products.
PT. VVF Indonesia is a subsidiary of the VVF Group, established to strengthen the company's business in the Oleochemicals sector.
PERSONAL CARE
VVF is the world's largest contract manufacturer of bar soaps, with a production capacity of approximately 300,000 metric tonnes annually (approximately 7000 soaps per minute!), in manufacturing plants spread across four continents. The flexibility VVF offers in terms of products and packaging options, and the quality and type of service make them a partner of choice to some of the world's leading organizations including MNC's, private labels and hotels across the world.
Some of the finished products manufactured by VVF include bar soaps, liquid soaps, shampoos, conditioners, anti- perspirant and deodorant sticks, hand sanitizers, face washes, skin moisturizers and massage oils, creams and lotions, mouthwashes, after shave products, shower gels, sun protection products, talcum powder, hair dyes and other OTC products including cough syrup and other antiseptic hygiene products.
In addition, VVF has a consumer products division. This segment contains a range of personal & hair care products. JO, DOY & Bacter Shield are some of VVF's home brands.
OLEOCHEMICALS
With over 40 years of experience and expertise in the field of oleochemicals and a manufacturing capacity of approximately 500,000 metric tonnes per annum of Fatty Alcohol, Fatty Acid and Glycerine, VVF stands as the largest exporter of Oleochemicals from India and is a significant player in the world stage.
VVF commenced its chemical operations in 1971, and today our main products are speciality fatty acids, alcohols and glycerine. VVF has a wide distribution and logistics network with bulk storage facilities situated in Europe and North America, enabling VVF to retain their competitive edge while continuously meeting customer requirements.
